Packing Your Potted Plants

Sunday, September 18th, 2011

Light nature houseAside from packing the items inside your home, you may also have the need to pack some of the items which are outside your home. This can include the items that are in your garage or in your storage shed as well as the plants that you have in pots. Among these items, your potted plants would probably need the most care as they are packed. This is because of the fact that plants are generally sensitive to abrupt changes in light, temperature, location and moisture; and moving to a new location would most likely subject them to all four changes at the same time.
To make sure that your potted plants would be safe and sound as you relocate, you need to make sure that the moving boxes that you would be getting are big enough to hold them, while leaving minimal extra space. There are plenty of packing and moving supply stores which sell a wide variety of moving day boxes today so you should be able to get those that would accommodate your potted plants perfectly.
Aside from getting boxes where your potted plants can be stored in during the trip, you should also make sure that you would have packaging materials such as cushions and pieces of cardboard. These can be used for securing the pots, preventing any shifting as they are transported in the moving truck or van. These materials are readily available from most stores that sell packing supplies for moving home.

Passive wooden house

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

Passive wooden houseThe “Passive Houses” are buildings with excellent thermal insulation, which prevents the expiration of the heat out, thus dramatically reducing costs for heating or cooling. The Swedish designers Kjellgren Kaminsky had designed Villa Nyberg Borlenge in the city, which is part of the series “Swedish passive houses” of architects.
The most remarkable in a villa Nyberg is its oval shape, which the authors of the project leads to the elimination of heat loss, including lack of so-called “cold bridge” formed between adjacent walls. Moving from room to room, living in this villa can enjoy different views of the surrounding landscape at different times of day.
The design is great and the large free spaces are showing the large and the beautiful of the interior of this beautiful house.

House interior woodThe house-scissors made by the architectural studio BCHO is a perfect example of how through an almost arbitrary geometric shape can be achieved quite functional purposes. Located in a former farm mandarins in South Korea, Scissor House, translated house-scissors, we were impressed with both the architectural solution, and with the interior, which seems slightly cold.
The total area is 322 square meters, the structure is of reinforced concrete, and for finishing the interior are also used zinc and recycled teak.
The house has a great clean interior, predominant colors – white, black and gray. All the range is used extremely interesting and wood flooring in the living room gives a feeling of comfort and beauty. Of course the house is amazing, with beautiful bathroom and sauna, where the wooden interior is making really great and beautiful.

Regardless of what you choose, red will definitely bring the energy that is lacking in your home. See our ideas on how to diversify the atmosphere in your home with red.
When used as an accent wall red can grab the eye, but also to annoy residents. If you want to do the whole wall red, use deeper shades – burgundy, burgundy or other deep shade will be accepted more easily by the fiery red, for example. If you really like deep red, then choose the furniture in neutral colors like white and black. This will allow the eye to be distracted by specific areas in the room.
You can paint the rooms , but do not know what color to emphasize? Red! In areas such as libraries, theaters and home care programs is definitely the color red, which should stand. A red chair, desk lamp, or simply to make room together.
A red carpet in a pale neutral room creates a conversational environment without hurting too much. Work of art with bold red number gives boldness of the room without damaging the other furniture.
As one of the three primary colors, red complements nursery in a beautiful way. From furniture covers to murals and paintings, red may be the dominant color or just a playful touch. This is a color that is often used for children’s centers to provoke the imagination.

How to deal with problem tenants

Friday, August 26th, 2011

The Alila Villas HadahaaProblem tenants can cause landlords a great deal of unwanted stress and pressure. They can create financial difficulties and be overly demanding. There are several potential methods which can be employed to alleviate some of the pressures which surround problem tenants.
Firstly, ensure that you check your tenants thoroughly before you sign a contract. For example; ask for references and check their previous credit and employment history. These simple measures can avoid problems in the future and it’s worth taking time to consider which tenants you select at the start, even if you are in a rush to let your property quickly, as it may help to avoid future problems.
Ensure that you always keep a copy of any correspondence with your problem tenant, including legal and financial transactions. This should extend to keeping accurate and up to date records of any conversations regarding maintenance issues or any warnings you’ve given your tenant, including telephone and face to face conversations.
Maintain a professional relationship with your tenant; try to cultivate a mutual respect from the start of the tenancy in an attempt to reduce the chance of future disagreements. Attempt to deal with any maintenance issues promptly and efficiently in order to preserve this relationship. Make occasional visits to your property, giving appropriate notice (at least 24 hours). This will help with upholding a professional association and allow you to be aware of any potential maintenance problems or relational problems within buildings where there is more than one tenant.
Take out the appropriate insurance from the start, as this will reduce future problems. Consider factors such as; contents insurance, building insurance, emergency assistance and accidental damage. For non-legal matters, a firm but polite written warning or verbal request often resolves the problem.
However, for legal issues such as excess noise, refer the problem to the police if it is a regular occurrence. If the rent is unpaid for 14 days or more, you are within your rights to repossess the property.
