A hard wood floor, in reality, can be a pretty decent floor for your home gym functionally speaking. It has some give, won't damage your weights when dropped, and is relatively easy to keep clean (which gives it decent grip).
Functional and General Gym Flooring. In both general and functional gym areas where heavy weights are not being dropped but some floor protection is still required, we recommend either our 15mm thick rubber floor tiles or the 10mm rubber floor rolls. The 15mm tiles are easier to fit, but both floor types require a floor adhesive to prevent them from moving. Before fitting either of these floors please ensure that your subfloor is level.
